My memory took the morning off
This image matched my description the best
This morning, I asked my husband if he wanted to make the longer drive to the Asian store for food. I had mentioned the idea last night, but I wasn't sure he would want to go because he normally prefers not to drive very far on weekends, but when I tried to tell him which store I preferred, I suddenly couldn't remember the store's name. He said he would be heading to the bank in that direction anyway, so the plan sounded good. (I like all the cute cartoons below!)
Just before I reached the room, the name suddenly popped into my head.
I immediately turned around and headed back downstairs. Standing a few steps above the ground floor, I poked my head around the wall to tell my husband which store I preferred. He was still at his computer desk near the sliding glass door overlooking the deck and our green backyard.
"It is Panda Express!" I announced.
There I was, marching upstairs to use technology to solve a problem, only to have my brain provide the answer before I even touched the computer.
Perhaps our memories enjoy playing games with us. The answer wasn't lost at all. It was simply waiting until I had climbed almost an entire flight of stairs before deciding to show up.
